The short version: you can play Hide A Pee® without an account, and if you play without signing in we don't ask for any personal information. The game is free, and the ads that support it are supplied by Google AdMob — see Advertising below. This page explains exactly what is stored and why.
You can start or join a game with nothing but a short game code. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and we don't use your device's contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
So that your game stays yours, our servers generate a random secret for you when you start or join. We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of that secret — never the secret itself — together with the dog you picked, the moves on the board, and the short code your friend uses to join. None of that identifies you personally.
Signing in is optional. If you choose to create an account, or sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft or Facebook, we store the email address you sign in with and the name your sign-in provider shares with us. Your games are then linked to your account instead of a random guest secret, which is what will let you keep points and a running score in the future.
We don't post anything on your behalf, we don't send you marketing email, and we never see your password — signing in is handled by our app platform.
Hide A Pee® is free to play, and the ads shown in the game are supplied by our advertising partner, Google AdMob. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU and the UK), we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.
To serve and measure those ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and use your device's advertising ID, information about your device and the app, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with an ad. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
You stay in control: you can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off ad personalization in your device's Google Ads settings, and where you have been asked for consent, you can change your choice later.
Everything is stored on our app platform provider, Base44, which hosts the game and its database. Information travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Game codes are not passwords and are never combined with personal information.
Games hold only what they need to stay playable. If you have an account, your email address and name stay until you delete the account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. That permanently removes your user record. Games you already played remain as game records, but they are identified only by an internal id, not by your email address.
Hide A Pee® is made for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Playing without an account collects no personal information at all, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
